Ben arrived at Rainhill as a junior in 2005 and quickly began to show promise. Within a year he was a regular player in the 2nd XI, and by 2008 had established himself in the 1st team. 

Ben is a genuine all-rounder who has hit over 8,000 runs for the club in all matches and taken over 200 wickets. 

He was captain of the Rainhill team that finished 3rd in the LDCC Premier League in 2017, and also skippered the 1st team to success in the 2020 Love Lane competition.
