Luis is a product of Rainhill's junior set-up and played regualrly for the under 13s and under 15s before moving into senior cricket, firstly playing for the 3rd team and then moving up to the 2nd team. A top-order batsman, Luis's highest score was 53 in a win at Spring View.

Luis made his first team debut against Leigh in 2021.
