Oliver joined Rainhill Cricket Club in 2015 and quickly demonstrated his aptitude for the game. A year later he began playing for the 3rd team in and, by 2019, had established himself as a 2nd team regular.

Oliver is an effective medium-pace bowler, with best bowling figures of 5-27. He is also a talented batsman with two half-centuries including a fantastic match-winning 73 at Ainsdale.
