Unbeaten half-century from Tyler McGladdery helps Rainhill to cup victory

Caldy 112-6 (Haroon Khan 33, Christopher Edwards 22; Dan Kelly 2-19)
Rainhill 114-1 (Tyler McGladdery 58*, Sam Kershaw 34*; Haroon Khan 1-38) Rainhill beat Caldy by 9 wickets
Rainhill are through to the second round of the Club T20 Cup following victory over Caldy.
Dan Kelly and Imliwati Lemtur took two wickets apiece as Rainhill restricted the visitors to 112-6 from 18 overs, the match being reduced on acount of weather-related stoppages. Haroon Khan (33), Christopher Edwards (22) and Corne Nel (20) made positive contributions but would have been disappointed not to have posted a more challenging target.
Rainhill openers Paul Ford and Tyler McGladdery put on 69 runs before the former was out, lbw, to Khan. McGladdery was then joined by Sam Kershaw and the duo reached the target without further loss. Kershaw finished with 34 not out from 16 deliveries, while McGladdery continued his good recent form with an unbeaten 58.
Rainhill will host Birkenhead Park in the next round.
