U-9 round-up with John Pearson
Club hosts exciting pairs competition

15th September 2020
On Sunday morning, in glorious cricket weather, 18 children took part in our own tournament at the club.
Two pitches were set up and the children were put into a team of ten and a team of eight. They played in pairs with each pair batting for 2 overs, meaning every player had a chance to bowl and bat. The highest scoring pair were the winners over 2 innings.
There was some extremely competitive cricket on display we are very excited about the prospects for the future. All the children really enjoyed taking part. Maddie and Charlie were the winners from the group of 10, with Archie and Ally eventually winning the group of 8, after a tie with Olivia and Annabelle which had to be decided by a Super Over!
Well done to everyone for a fantastic day! We will be hosting another like it next Sunday.
