U11s A team in title charge

Rainhill's youngsters in strong position

Rainhill's under 11s A team has made a credible charge for the league title and, after nine matches, Paul Millar's team is four points clear of Wavertree in second place.

Rainhill lead the Under 11s (South) junior league, having accumulated 22 points to date. Wavertree have 18 (with one game in hand) while third-placed Liverpool Lightning are on 16 points but crucially have played two fewer matches than Rainhill.

The U11 A's most recent match, against Old Xaverians, saw Finnlee Millar take five wickets from two overs, including a hat trick (from the second, third and fourth balls of the match).

There are three matches remaining: Liverpool Lightning (away), Bootle (home) and Liverpool Storm (away). The match at Liverpool Lightning on 8th July is likely to be pivotal in the title race!
