Sam Kershaw

Sam first joined Rainhill from Rawtenstall in 2016. He had previously played for Lancashire's age-group sides (U14s to U19s), and was a key member of the Rainhill team that finished third in the Premier League the following year, in which he averaged 40.00 with the bat - with a top score of 94 (v Southport & Birkdale).

Sam spent two seasons at Bootle before returning to Rainhill, and has since established himself as a reliable top-order batsman. He has featured for Derbyshire's 2nd XI and has spent winters playing with Kyabram Fire Brigade (Australia) and Geyser City (New Zealand). He's also a useful - if occasional - bowler, as demonstrated in the recent Echo Cup match against Newton-le-Willows in which he picked up 4-9.
